Architects give rough orders for demolition and adaptive reuse of old school buildings

For Hall Memorial, the team modeled preserving roughly 24,000 sq ft of original building fabric while removing about 43,000 sq ft; Scott Feldman warned the state would likely reimburse only the portion directly tied to educational use and might not fund full restoration without a strong program tie. The presenters framed these options as community choices that could be explored further if a consolidated option that removes the existing school inventory is advanced.
