On a pair of unanimous votes, the Maupin City Council agreed to change its upcoming meeting dates and accepted a resident volunteer application during its Oct. 22 meeting.
Councilor Shelby Dumire moved to change the November meeting to Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.; Councilor Kathy Peck seconded and the motion passed 7-0. Dumire next moved to change the December meeting to Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.; Peck seconded and the motion passed 7-0. Council also agreed to move the holiday dinner to the November meeting. Recorder Christine Wolfe informed the council she received an application from Madeline Rhoades to join the Parks & Recreation and the Essential Services committees; Council approved inclusion on the consent agenda and accepted the application as part of the consent vote earlier in the meeting.
The council entered executive session at 7:28 p.m. under ORS 192.660(2)(h) to consult with counsel on litigation and returned at 7:38 p.m. with no final decision announced before adjourning at 7:39 p.m.
