At its July 20 meeting the Town of Blue Hill Select Board received a letter asking that the fountain on Parker Point Road be put back into operation. Chair E. Best told the Board the fountain had been shut off because state testing and water-treatment requirements are stringent and expensive; she said she would respond to the letter and ask the Public Works crew to ensure the well is completely covered.
Separately, B. Adams asked if the Town is responsible for removing dead trees located in the right-of-way. S. Miller said he would confirm the legal responsibility with Town Attorney A. Dixon. The minutes record the follow-up direction but contain no legal interpretation or cost estimate.
