Kingman to host Route 66 historic revitalization grant workshop Oct. 15

The chair said grants are available in a range "from 10 to $100,000" and that awards are targeted to bricks-and-mortar projects. Commissioners asked whether "along Route 66" means properties on Andy Devine Avenue or a broader inclusion of Route 66 communities; staff advised the commission they would check the grant specifications on the program website to confirm eligibility criteria. The announcement noted one of the three workshop stops along Route 66 will be held at the Kingman Visitor Center; the time is to be announced.
Staff and commissioners encouraged interested property owners to review eligibility and to attend the workshop for application guidance; no application deadlines were specified at the meeting.
