Lintott Elementary students’ ornaments selected for Washington State tree in President’s Park

Merisa Wilson, principal of Lintott Elementary School, presented a superintendent’s report item noting that the Class of 2035 students were chosen to have their artwork featured on the Washington State tree beside the National Christmas Tree in President’s Park in Washington, D.C. The selection followed a nomination by Senator John Braun. Each student submission included an explanation of the student’s inspiration, and two pieces from every class were selected for the display.
The board recognized the students’ accomplishment and the district noted the nomination connection to Senator Braun. The presentation was recorded as part of the superintendent’s report during the Dec. 16 meeting.
