Board members publicly thanked Superintendent Rick Goble for his response to recent flooding of the middle school parking lot during the Dec. 16 meeting. Members described Goble’s actions in returning early from a conference in Los Angeles — renting a car and driving home to assist staff and coordinate the district’s response.
Chief Financial Officer Heather C. Pinkerton told the board the cost of Goble’s return trip would be reimbursed. Board comments thanked maintenance, transportation, communications staff and others who assisted with the emergency response, and the board noted the superintendent’s leadership during the incident.
