The Chehalis School District Board of Directors administered oaths of office to newly elected directors Lance Tornow and Katrina Meier and re-elected Kelsi Hamilton on Dec. 16, 2025, before reorganizing board leadership for 2026.
During nominations, Kelsi Hamilton nominated J. Vander Stoep to serve as board president; the roll call was Mrs. Meier Aye, Mr. Tornow Aye, Mrs. Hamilton Aye, Mr. LeDuc Aye and Mr. Vander Stoep Abstain, resulting in Vander Stoep continuing as board president. For vice president, Tim LeDuc declined a nomination and instead nominated Kelsi Hamilton; her nomination was seconded and approved unanimously.
Board members also volunteered for committee roles for the coming year: Hamilton agreed to serve as the district’s Legislative Representative for a two‑year term; Vander Stoep and LeDuc volunteered as West/Coffman Scholarship Board representatives; Lance Tornow volunteered as the WIAA representative. The board approved the reorganizational items by recorded votes as part of the meeting’s procedural business.
The reorganization followed the board’s formal opening and adoption of the meeting agenda earlier in the session.
