Jennifer Welsh, Daviess County Auditor, presented a Daviess County Allowable Costs Policy that the State Board of Accounts requested. Welsh said the policy documents that county spending of federal grants will follow the terms and allowable costs specified in those grants. The commissioners approved the policy by unanimous vote.
Welsh also presented Baker Tilly's annual information disclosure on property tax information year-to-year; commissioners approved the compliance item. Later in the meeting the board approved payroll (docket dated 06/26/2026) and several claims dockets (utility and bond claim listings). All motions for payroll and claims passed unanimously of those present.
