Planning & Zoning Administrator Bartlett presented the resolution and told the board it will allow the Planning & Zoning Commission to hold public meetings and propose regulatory changes before any conditional use permits are considered.
Under the resolution, the Planning & Zoning Commission is directed to review county zoning regulations and "make specific recommendations for changes" within twelve months of the resolution’s signing. The moratorium takes effect on the date of approval and may be extended if needed to complete public hearings and regulatory updates. Commissioners Reichman, Klingman and Timm voted in favor of the resolution.
