Council approved two supplemental agreements for street projects after public works staff explained bid results and proposed consultant fee adjustments.
Public works (Mr. Ferguson) described that bids for both Elm Street Phase 2 and the North 6th & Best Roundabout projects came in well below design estimates, allowing the consultant to trim engineering and construction management costs. He requested a $73,087 supplemental agreement for Elm Street Phase 2 (Resolution F‑501) and $67,002.71 for the North 6th & Best roundabout (Resolution F‑502). “They calculate their fees for engineering, construction management…The proposal is $73,087 for the construction management,” Mr. Ferguson said regarding Elm Street.
Council moved and approved each resolution by voice vote. Staff said both supplemental amounts are lower than what was budgeted for 2026 and asked the mayor to sign the contract amendments.
