The Brown County Commission recorded the following formal motions and outcomes on July 20, 2026.
- Approval of minutes: Commissioner Richard Tesoriero moved to approve the July 13, 2026 minutes with one correction; Commissioner William Pollock seconded and the motion carried.
- Budget hearing notice: Commissioner Tesoriero moved to sign a Notice of Intent that the county does not intend to exceed the revenue neutral rate for 2027 and to set the Budget Hearing for Aug. 31, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.; Commissioner Pollock seconded and the motion carried.
- Solid Waste procurement: Chairman Lucas Heinen moved to purchase a 2022 Case 580N backhoe from EquipmentShare for $85,443.00 and accept a Citizens State Bank three‑year lease at 4.95%, subject to acceptable lease paperwork; motion seconded by Commissioner Tesoriero and carried.
- Executive sessions: Multiple motions to recess into executive session for discussion of non‑elected personnel were recorded at 1:17 p.m., 1:21 p.m., 3:30 p.m. (extended), and 3:41 p.m.; all returned to open session with no action taken.
- Adjournment: Commissioner William Pollock moved to adjourn at 3:54 p.m.; Commissioner Richard Tesoriero seconded and the motion carried.
