Staff and consultant OPSIS Architecture (with Eco Northwest as subconsultant) have visited the site, prepared a market analysis, and drafted an informational questionnaire to gauge interest from potential lessees or buyers.
Meyer said the questionnaire is intended to screen for viable operators and is not a binding RFP. "This is all very high level," she said, adding the form would be posted online and shared with an existing list of interested parties; staff suggested leaving the form open for two to three weeks and offering optional site visits. Council asked for an estimated timeline; staff said they expect to bring results and an appraisal back to council in September.
Staff also noted they will correct an insurance wording error in the draft and that the questionnaire could be shared broadly by council members to solicit interest. No council action was required; the item was informational and staff will return with next steps.
