City reports: public works updates, park outreach, small‑business collaboration and police outreach programs

City Manager Jennifer Krieger briefed the council on current public works projects and asked for volunteer support for the Music Festival scheduled for August 1. Community Development Director Marc Kurbansade said public outreach on the City Center park is ongoing, that staff engaged the public at the Summer Splash event, and that they will be at the Music & Spirits festival for further input.
Kurbansade also said Dacono has entered a collaborative agreement with the Towns of Frederick and Firestone and the Colorado Small Business Group to provide guidance and classes to small businesses; the city plans to send a direct mailer and post information on the city website. Chief Jad Lanigan described police community outreach plans including officer baseball cards for children and the rollout of the Blue Envelope and Blue Heart programs.
