Board approves meeting minutes, hears routine department reports

At the outset of the meeting Board members approved the March 31, 2026 regular-session minutes (motion by Board Member Trinkler, second by Board Member Bennett). Board Member Bennett raised a procedural concern about inconsistent vehicle-quote comparisons and Utility Director Mitchell said he would ensure future quotes compare the same models from local vendors.
Department reports covered routine operations: Todd Jenkins said the electric department is operating normally; Drew Miller listed recent repairs at the power plant and reported that DNR issued an operating permit that expires in April 2031; Kurt Krepps reported sewer maintenance work and that three recently repaired lift stations are operating without issue.
