Auditor Geralyn Sherman presented a Hold Harmless / Temporary Shelter Agreement that permits McCook Central School to use the county courthouse as an emergency shelter for students and faculty if the school district determines an emergency exists.
Commissioner Chuck Mehlbrech moved to authorize Vice‑Chairman Dean Koch to sign the agreement; Commissioner Steve Gordon seconded and the motion carried. Sherman stated the contract continues year to year unless either party provides 30 days' written notice to terminate.
The signed agreement will be retained by the Auditor’s Office and administered as needed in event of an emergency determination by the school district.
