Auditor Geralyn Sherman told the commission that a 2010 Chevy Suburban and a 2011 Chevy Tahoe have been stored at the Highway Department for about a year and recommended declaring them surplus and sending them to the Wieman Auction on Dec. 3.
Commissioner Chuck Mehlbrech moved to declare both vehicles surplus and sell them at auction; Commissioner Steve Gordon seconded and the motion carried. The county will coordinate with the auction house on sale logistics.
Sherman also presented the list of building permits issued in September, which included permits for Golden View Hutterian Brethren, Eric & Stacy Albers (storage building 37x120x12), B J & C Enterprises (70x125x20 steel building), Samuel & Joanne Horner (30x32x18 garage) and others. Those permit records were noted as issued and filed.
