Board approves provisional and short-term staff permits; welcomes two new administrators
Summary
Trustees approved a provisional internship permit and two credential waivers for district staff and formally welcomed Amanda Cullen as Sellers Elementary principal and Jen Engle as assistant principal at Glendora High School.
The board approved three credentialing items that allow staff to serve in roles while they complete required credentials: a provisional internship permit for Aaron Igoe to serve as an education specialist split between Goddard and Sandburg, a short-term staff permit for Tristan Lang at Collin Elementary to teach special education, and a variable-term waiver for Aaron Villanueva (CAD/drafting teacher) to instruct English learners as needed.
Earlier in the meeting trustees formally welcomed Amanda Cullen as the new principal of Sellers Elementary and Jen Engle as Glendora High School’s assistant principal of special education. Cullen said she was “so very eager to get started,” and Engle thanked the district and said she was excited to return to GHS and continue supporting students and staff.
