Doug Randquist, president of the Glendora Teachers Association, asked trustees to authorize placing a bond extension on the fall ballot so voters could decide and the district could secure funds to repair aging infrastructure.
Randquist said the extension would allow the district to address needs such as HVAC at middle schools, safety improvements and investments in programs that support classroom instruction. “This is how we support teachers, students, and our schools,” he told the board, and he reiterated that the district’s plan seeks to extend existing tax levels rather than increase them.
