Trustees unanimously adopt agenda, approve minutes and claims; retain officers for FY2027

The Board of Trustees of the Lyon County Library System convened at 9:30 a.m. June 23 and moved through routine governance items. Trustee Sara Ross moved to adopt the meeting agenda and Trustee Patti Palmer seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
The board approved the May 26, 2026 meeting minutes and accepted the claims for June 23, 2026 following motions from Trustee Patti Palmer (minutes) and Trustee Palmer (claims), each seconded and each approved unanimously. The board then considered officer elections for fiscal year 2027. Trustee Patti Palmer moved to retain the current officers; Trustee Jan Schardt seconded and the motion passed unanimously, leaving Nora Stevens as chair and Jan Schardt as vice chair.
Attendance at roll call identified five trustees present (Nora Stevens, Patti Palmer and Kay Edwards in person; Jan Schardt and Sara Ross via videoconference). The board adjourned at 10:01 a.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for July 28 in Silver Springs.
