Resident and city agree to split $6,000 drainage project near lagoon

Resident Shawn Vanorsdel asked the council to contribute to a drainage improvement north of an existing culvert near the lagoon and tree pile, saying the project would help both his property and the city. Vanorsdel told council the contractor quoted the work at approximately $6,000.
Council approved a motion by Jared Voog, seconded by Neal Hanson, to pay 50% of the project cost with a city cap of $3,000; Mr. Vanorsdel will pay the remainder. The minutes record, "Was quoted approx. $6000.00 for the project and asked the city to contribute as it will help both him and the city with drainage."
