Viborg OKs mini excavator purchase; lagoon aerator deferred to June

Maintenance Superintendent Jody Nelsen reported on April maintenance activities and upcoming work, telling the council the street sweeper will come to town to clean up before graduation and that citywide cleanup went well. Nelsen described options for park donations, cement skirting around the bandshell to reduce mud, and possible gutters.
Council voted to trade the backhoe and purchase a mini excavator on a motion by Bill Thorson, seconded by Ross Frederickson. Council also tabled a decision on acquiring another aerator (stirator) for the lagoon until the June meeting. "We will have the street sweeper in town to clean up before graduation," Nelsen said during his report.
