Raffles, music and a flag procession set the schedule for Lowell’s folkloric festival

The program reminded families there was a face-painting cart for children and noted that refreshments would be provided after the traditional flag photo on the City Hall steps.
The Moderator repeatedly reminded attendees that the folklore festival procession would start at 5 p.m. and emphasized the condition that taking the group photo at the flag would be required to receive the refreshments organizers planned to serve afterward.
"Recuerden que apenas se termine la última danza, nos vamos todos a la bandera afuera y a tomarnos la foto tradicional en las escaleras," the Moderator said, and added, "Si no se toman la foto y hacemos la bandera, no hay comida."
