Friends of Sandy Library proposes book bundles; staff suggests ebooks or selling through Friends

Bruce, representing the Friends of Sandy Library, asked whether the Friends could fund book-bundle purchases for the men's book club and how the library could accommodate such donations. The staff member responded that book bundles often take up shelf space and circulate infrequently: "book bundles take up a lot of space and don't get checked out," the staff member said, and suggested that the Friends could instead sell bundles through their channels.

The staff member also discussed alternatives such as purchasing additional ebook and eaudiobook licenses targeted to Sandy and Hoodland patrons or buying specific book-club titles for district access. The meeting included a brief discussion on audiobook pricing; staff said eaudiobooks can cost significantly more than physical copies and that licenses often have limited checkouts before repurchase is required.
