Dacono Swears In Two Police Officers and Introduces a Community Resource Officer

Mayor Adam Morehead led swearing-in and pinning ceremonies for two new police officers during the June 8 council meeting. Officer Bruce Sunada was sworn in, pinned by his mother, and presented with a certificate by Interim Police Chief Jad Lanigan. Officer Krisendat Bisram was sworn in, pinned by his wife, and presented a certificate by Chief Lanigan.
Mayor Morehead also introduced Community Resource Officer Heather Meintzer and presented her with a certificate. In staff remarks later in the meeting, Chief Lanigan said the CROs have changed uniforms so they are not mistaken for sworn police officers and that the new sworn officers are progressing through onboarding.
