The Dacono City Council unanimously approved Resolution 26-29 on May 11, 2026, a midyear amendment to the city's 2026 budget. Finance Director Kelly Stroh presented the item during a continued public hearing from April 27, noting staff recommended adjustments to reflect changes since the budget was adopted.
Councilmember Michelle Rogers said the city was seeing higher expenses and that "revenues are not where they were planned to be," prompting questions about near-term fiscal risk. City Manager Jennifer Krieger responded that "there are no concerns at this time, but things change, and adjustments may be needed," and she said water cash-in-lieu revenue would help balance the fund if needed. With no public comments, the council closed the hearing and voted to adopt the amendment; Mayor Adam Morehead declared the motion carried.
The resolution was moved and approved in a unanimous vote. Six members were present for the decision: Mayor Adam Morehead and councilmembers Kevin Plain, Drew Martinez, Michelle Rogers, Jeff Stainbrook and Bob Vince; one member, Doris Crespo, was absent. The motion carries immediate effect for internal budgeting and will be reflected in the city's financial reports for 2026.
