The Rogue River City Council approved a park sign request from the Wards Creek Restoration Initiative on July 24, 2025, allowing two temporary banners to be displayed at Rooster Park for 45 days beginning July 24 at 8 a.m. The motion was made by Councilor Barb Hilty, seconded by Councilor Sharie Davis, and passed unanimously.
The council also noted the group's planned Jackson Alert sign-up at the Umpqua Bank parking lot on Aug. 1 in coordination with Jackson County Emergency Management. Meeting minutes record that Dick Converse spoke about the project he would work on contingent on council approval.
