The Board approved a resolution to accept a minor plat submitted by Tyler Ford to create a 1.5‑acre parcel in an AR (agriculture residential) district for construction of a new residence at 8152 Buckridge Road. The zoning administrator, Joseph Gallman, described the parcel's history and answered a supervisor's question about an apparent former landing strip on the property.
Gallman said the strip had been zoned AL in the past and that a home now occupies the area; he stated, "If it does [become a landing strip again], though, landing strips do have to receive approval... it has to go through planning and zoning commission, and then I believe board of supervisors still to receive approval." Supervisors expressed concern about proximity to a residence, asked whether use as a landing strip could resume, and were assured that re‑establishment would require formal approvals. The resolution passed with unanimous affirmative responses on roll call.
