Council ratifies Streamline website contract, cites ADA compliance and grant funding

The Isleton City Council voted to ratify an agreement with Streamline to replace the existing city website, funded by an emerging-technology grant intended to improve public access and ADA compatibility.
Staff said the full enterprise package was pared down and the final negotiated cost for the chosen scope is about $9,600 per year with a one-time setup fee of roughly $2,500; the contract is funded by the grant, not the general fund. Staff stressed that accessibility features and automated document remediation are essential because California and federal accessibility expectations are increasing.
"It's law to have ADA compatible websites," a staff presenter said, adding that Streamline provides backend tools and remediation workflows to reduce the risk of noncompliance. Councilors noted that posting minutes, recordings and agendas more accessibly responds to public criticism about locating historic materials; at least one public commenter thanked staff for recent improvements.
Council moved, seconded and approved the ratification by roll call.
