City Administrator Matt Hammer reported that Kara Riebold, executive director of the Port of Whitman, called to say the Port will help purchase a bus for the Coast Transportation Project and asked whether Colfax would support the initiative.
Hammer said the city "supports the concept of a transportation project connecting Colfax, Pullman and Moscow," but "the city currently does not have the allocated funds for such an initiative," and he asked the council whether staff should draft a letter of support acknowledging conceptual backing while making funding limits clear.
