The Milford City Council approved Option #3 from KCL Engineering to provide emergency power service to the Police Department building. The work will install a breaker in the Fire Department Equipment Distribution Panel (EDP) to supply a continuous emergency power feed to the Police Department, and remove the existing electrical feed; the approval was conditioned on the breaker being installable without modifications to the existing EDP. The motion (Hoffman/Carney) passed unanimously.
Council reviewed three options presented by KCL Engineering; the minutes record the accepted approach is to provide continuous emergency power from the Fire Department's emergency panel to the Police Department building. No project cost or timeline was included in the minutes, and the minutes do not record any dissenting council views.
