The board held a recognition segment honoring multiple retirees from the 2025—26 year. Adam Mitchell spoke about Carol McKenna—s 23 years at Sherwood High School, describing her role across the math department and her mentoring of new teachers. "After 23 years of steady, generous service, Carol is retiring to spend more time with her family," Mitchell said.
Gia Saporito highlighted Lori—s decade in nutrition services and her OSEA executive board work; Saporito said district claims data calculate Lori and her team as having served more than 550,000 meals to students over her career. "More than 550,000 meals served as an incredible legacy," Saporito said. Other principals and leaders also recognized Middleton staff member Melinda and bus driver Tom and invited the board and honorees to a group photo.
