Board adopts 2026–27 budget, appropriations and tax resolution

The Sherwood School District Board unanimously adopted the district—udget for the 2026—27 school year and approved related appropriations and tax categorizations. "The approved budget document has been posted since the packet went out," Gary Bennett said, noting the adopted version matches the budget committee—s document except for an added "approved" column.
Board members made separate motions to adopt the budget, make appropriations and impose and categorize taxes for the 2026—27 year; each motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Chair Carson called for aye votes and announced motions carried with a 5—0vote majority on each item. The board did not record public comment on the budget prior to the motions.
The board moved on to other agenda business after completing the formal budget actions. Documents the board referenced were already posted on the district website, and Gary Bennett invited board questions; none were raised during the public meeting session.
