District audit returns clean report; board lauds finance team

He added the audit review included attention to internal controls and schedules, and that a small typo in the district transportation report (an extra zero in miles traveled) was corrected and had no financial impact.
Kaufman and the presenters said the district has improved reporting and is rebuilding reserves toward its 8% policy target. Board members praised Gary and the finance team for steady work and called the results "wins" compared with other districts facing larger financial challenges.
No board action was required; the report was accepted as informational and staff will continue reporting on drivers of financial performance and levy impact in future meetings.
