ASB president outlines senior deadlines, spring arts and activities

ASB President Paige Choirs told the Sherwood SD 88J board that seniors must finalize college or other post-graduation plans by May 1 and that the class is moving through its final trimester.
"Seniors had our class meeting where we just started to learn everything there is to know about graduation," Choirs said. She detailed arts and activities schedules: Mean Girls performances are set for April 17, 18, 23–25 with a 2 p.m. matinee on April 18; tickets will be available at the door and online. Choirs also said the final blood drive of the year is May 5 and noted ASB raised nearly $4,000 for Make-A-Wish during a recent fundraiser.
The update included previews of Decision Week in early May, when different career pathways will be recognized with social events and barbecues, and Multicultural Night on April 29, which Choirs said is free and open to the community. The report closes with an invitation from Choirs for the community to attend the spring events.
The board received the update during its April meeting and moved to the next agenda items without further action.
