Sherwood High students showcase CTE pathways; students urge underclassmen to explore hands-on learning

Ethan Hill described how woodworking, welding and other CTE classes helped him start a small business and prepare to launch a camping-equipment company, saying, "I believe the best way to learn is to do." Cora Holman said CTE courses helped her narrow a pathway toward mechanical engineering and advised freshmen to "keep exploring" and not procrastinate. Board members and district staff praised the program and thanked teachers and industry partners who volunteer time and materials.
Presenters noted CTE’s cross-curricular reach: architecture students design house plans, culinary students support open houses, and interior design students work on finishes for Bowman House projects. Board members emphasized the program’s role in the district’s strategic plan to provide college and career readiness.
