Philip, a staff member, asked commissioners to review the draft comprehensive plan and complete the city's survey by Aug. 31 so staff can incorporate targeted feedback.
"We have till August 31 to provide feedback," Philip said, adding the survey breaks the document into implementation items to guide comment. He told commissioners the final draft will be presented to the commission on Oct. 12, at which time the body will be asked to transmit a recommendation to City Council.
Philip said outreach is ramping up: staff have sent an email to commissioners, will deploy yard signs and sidewalk stickers, and expect more public responses as the survey is publicized. He described the survey as a 20-to-30-minute investment to give specific guidance on implementation priorities.
The announcement drew no public comment; the commission moved on to other agenda items after the presentation.
