City Administrator Matt Hammer told the Colfax City Council the city received three bids for the fire department roof; he will submit those bids to the municipal insurance carrier for review and approval.
Hammer said the city’s current monthly phone expense exceeds $1,200 and staff are exploring options with the goal of reducing that cost by at least half. He also reported public works crews are installing the city’s new remote meters and have “about 100 to go,” and that he continues to meet with Merrick on a water-system update.
