Staff explained: "After January 1, if you wanted to modify ... it's entirely your decision," and cautioned that meetings scheduled into the future are often posted for 7:00 p.m., which can complicate early implementation.
Commissioners who spoke expressed support for an earlier start time to encourage in‑person attendance. The motion passed on a voice vote; staff will coordinate any schedule and notice changes for implementation early next year.
