Council approves update to Castle Rock stormwater master plan to reprioritize aging infrastructure

Marlowe said the update will prioritize capital replacements, take a hard look at detention pond rehabilitation (the town inspects private ponds on a rolling schedule and often issues maintenance notices) and examine maintenance and regulatory approaches. Mueller Engineering was recommended after a competitive procurement and the Castle Rock Water Commission recommended approval. Council approved the professional services agreement 6–0.
