The Maintenance and Development Committee voted to send an order of taking for land needed to build the new Miranda School to the full Springfield City Council. Chair Levar Klick Bruce said the committee would bring the item to the full meeting that evening: "we, vote to to, take this out of committee and bring it to our entire full, meeting, today at 06:30." A committee member formally moved to advance the order; Associate Solicitor Robert Sujang seconded the motion and members agreed to move the item. The committee did not record a roll-call tally in the transcript; minutes indicate the item was accepted to the full council docket. Peter Garvey, director of Capital Asset Construction, also announced a public meeting about the project at Brightwood Library at 6:00 p.m. the following day to gather community input.
