YDOT outlines Sublette County projects: Pine Street overhaul, Bondurant guardrail, Dry Piney connectivity

Wyoming Department of Transportation briefed the commission on the State Transportation Improvement Program: Pine Street reconstruction with ADA upgrades in Pinedale (2028), multi-mile guardrail near Bondurant, Dry Piney connectivity enhancements, and bridge replacements scheduled in the six-year plan.
Pete Stinchcomb, district construction engineer for YDOT District 3, presented the local portion of the STIP and asked for commissioner input before final adoption. He said the county should expect several projects in coming years, including a Pine Street full-depth reclamation and overlay through Pinedale with ADA ramps and utility coordination (planned in 2028), guardrail installation on both sides of Bondurant this summer, Dry Piney connectivity work around wildlife crossings and new turnouts/kiosks, and multiple mill-and-overlay segments north of Marbleton and La Barge.
Stinchcomb noted funding comes from a mix of federal and state sources and highlighted grant programs available to towns and counties (TAP, BROS). He invited local suggestions for project prioritization and said many projects in the near-term years are close to design and procurement, while later years remain more flexible.
