The city recorder read the consent agenda, which included Woodburn City Council minutes from Aug. 11, monthly financial reports for June and July, a traffic-photo enforcement report for June–August, a quarterly investment report and approval of easement terminations related to Bridal Apartments on West Lincoln Street. A council member moved to adopt the consent agenda, a second was given and the council approved the items by voice vote.
After the consent vote staff and councilors gave brief updates: library staff are hosting relocated fitness classes while the pool is closed, the planning commission has an item related to a new restaurant location near the By-Mart lot, and councilors reported on recent community events including a plaza celebration and a Burgerville grand opening. Council also learned the city received a Union Pacific Foundation award to help install rail-line fencing and discussed scheduling a joint workshop with the new school board.
