Commissioners approve recording correction for Sunny Glen Estates Phase 5

County staff presented a map correction for Sunny Glen Estates, explaining that a phase of the subdivision was not included in earlier recorded maps and that title companies had issued title without that tract properly filed. Staff described the missing portion as the "missing puzzle piece" and asked the court to declare and record the parcel as Phase 5 so the county records and title searches will show the tract correctly.
"It needs to say phase 5," staff said during the presentation. The court moved to update the map, the motion was seconded, and members approved the filing by voice vote. Staff said they would take the new map to the county clerk’s office for recording.
Recording the correction is intended to prevent future title confusion for buyers and lenders. No appeals or opposition were raised during the discussion and the county directed staff to proceed with the filing.
