The Board of Estimate and Apportionment voted unanimously July 28 to adopt three agenda items on first reading, covering approvals for contracts and leases, capital fund transfers, and personnel changes in the mayor’s Recovery Office.
The Chair read the three items and described the third as a request from the Recovery Office to delete positions funded by fiscal year 2026 (Rams board bill 31, passed June 2025) and add positions funded by fiscal year 2027 (board bill 22, passed July 2026). “These positions are dedicated to the Recovery Office and provide administrative support, oversight, fiscal compliance, status support systems, and support the delivery of demolition, debris removal, and home repair programs,” the Chair said.
A motion to adopt items 1 through 3 as presented for the first time was made and seconded, and the Clerk recorded ayes from Mayor Spencer, Comptroller Behringer, and President Green. The motion passed.
After the vote the board proceeded to a closed session to discuss legal and personnel matters, as provided under the board’s SMO.
