Charity Staggs (SICOG) reported three contractors attended the walk‑through and two bidders combined to submit a bid; Retroscape was selected to clear brush and trees on approximately 30 properties. Staggs said the company must submit additional documentation before 5:00 p.m. on August 6, 2026. Commissioner Bryce Somsen moved to accept the bid as administered by SICOG; Commissioner Mark Mathews seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The project is intended to reduce wildfire risk on private properties in the Bailey Creek area; SICOG will manage contract compliance and documentation collection before work begins.
