Council approves third amendment with Wilson & Company for Industrial Tributary Trail design

Council approved a resolution authorizing the third amendment to the town’s professional services agreement with Wilson & Company for the Industrial Tributary Trail project, which will connect Philip S. Miller Park through the Brickyard into downtown Castle Rock.
Jeff summarized project history and financing: the town accepted a Colorado Department of Transportation grant of $5,000,000 for design and construction and expects to fund about $3,000,000 from local trails funding. "That intergovernmental agreement will provide us with $5,000,000 to assist in the design and construction," Jeff said. The total project cost was described as about $8–$8.5 million; council approved the amendment and the resolution by roll call.
Staff said the project will improve east–west connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists, and will include sections already completed by development obligations. The amendment advances final design and coordination with grant terms; councilmembers thanked staff and noted the trail will support downtown access and recreation.
