During discussion of independent-investigation invoicing, a motion to approve invoice number 904936 to Badman Law for $2,045 and to authorize any future billings passed on roll call. Several commissioners said they were uncomfortable approving open-ended billings and with there being no specified total or timeline for future charges. “My main issue here is that we don't have any set amount and no timeline,” one commissioner said, explaining their intention to vote no.
The consent agenda also approved two check registers: $1,062,016.09 (03/06/2026) and $596,099.31 (03/13/2026). All consent items passed on roll call.
