At its meeting, the Lawrence County Planning & Zoning Board approved a group of final and preliminary plats — including the final plat for Matt and Jamie Wood (Lot 3, Track G), the combined preliminary/final for David and Nicole Edwards (lot consolidation), and a layout for an eight-lot Jensen subdivision — moving those items forward to the county commission or to the next design stage. "All in favor, say aye...Motion carries," the chair said after the motions passed.
The board also scheduled a full public hearing on Feb. 8 for CUP 499 (private-use campground) and asked staff to prepare a formal amendment or memorandum documenting the proposed wastewater unit-equivalency approach for Powerhouse Pass. The Shank preliminary plat was continued so county highway and floodplain permitting (culvert sizing and a floodplain development permit) and the associated fire plan can be completed before further action. Next meeting: Feb. 5, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.
