Board adopts three policies and approves OSBA resolutions

The school board adopted three policies after second readings and discussion.
Superintendent Kathy Ludwig walked the board through recommended language changes and legal consul recommendations for policy BBF (code of conduct), CB (superintendent) and CBG (superintendent evaluation). Board members discussed specific lines, including language referencing public‑comment procedures and who oversees evaluation timelines. Director (Vice Chair) Wyatt moved to adopt BBF, CB and CBG as presented (with one amendment to keep evaluative language in CBG), and the motions passed by roll call with aye votes recorded.
The board also approved three resolutions from the Oregon School Boards Association (OSBA) to amend its bylaws, change the board‑of‑directors composition and alter the dues structure. Board members supported the resolutions and commented on OSBA services, including policy analysis, legal advice and training. Votes for the OSBA resolutions were taken by roll call and recorded as ayes from present members.
The adoptions are administrative actions that will be reflected in the district policy manual; staff said legal counsel and OSBA consultation informed the language changes.
