KCKPS reports rising Diploma Plus endorsements and highest recorded graduation rate

Dr. Anna Stubblefield said when she began in 2021 roughly 50% of KCKPS graduates earned a Diploma Plus endorsement; she reported the district made measurable progress and that the class of 2025 saw 84% of graduates earn an endorsement. "Last year, the class of '25, we had 84 percent of our students to graduate with a diploma plus, and our graduation rate was the highest it's been in the history since graduation rate has been recorded and is at 81.9 percent," Stubblefield said.
Stubblefield cautioned that the district still has work to do to reach its North Star goal of universal endorsements by January 2031 and described the approach as incremental change to sustain progress. She said the district is finalizing a strategic plan that embeds this target and will continue to track outcomes as programming expands across schools.
